A visible resonance in the components industry will be noticed when country's first
exclusive components exhibition - COMPONEX NEPCON INDIA 2008 begins on February
20-22, 2008. With an objective of understanding the growing need of the components
industry and showcase the best of the innovations in the technology worldwide. CNI
2008 brings 26 countries on one platform. South India being the centre of attention
of the exhibition will witness 24.3% of the exhibitors launching their products and
innovations.

The year 2007 witnessed 25000 visitors, 826 Exhibitors from 25 countries. The
magnitude of the exhibitions this year is expected to be bigger and better from the
previous year. Highly credible authorities like Telecom Equipment Manufactures
Associations (TEMA), Consumer Electronics and TV Manufactures Association (CETMA),
All India Instruments Manufactures Association (IMDA) and etc have been closely
associated with CNI 2008. The credibility of such associations only adds to the
goodwill of the exhibition.

Componex Nepcon is the amalgamation of Componex and Nepcon series. Componex is a
premier Trade show for the electronic industry in India and has been serving the
Indian industry for over 13 years while the Nepcon exhibition is an annual
exhibition catering to needs of the electronics market worldwide and has been held
successfully in various parts of the world namely China (Shanghai & Shenzhen), UK,
Malaysia, Korea, Thailand and Japan. With the recent acquisition by Reed Exhibitions
India, the Componex fair has now been launched as the Componex Nepcon India 2008.

Mr. Mandeep Singh, COO, Reed Exhibitions India says, "It gives me immense pleasure
to introduce Componex Nepcon India 2008. CNI is the only platform where buyers and
sellers from the components industry can get together nationally and
internationally to showcase their latest technology. Bangalore's contribution to
the components industry has been consistent and noteworthy. It's still the
technical capital of the country and hence its contribution to the components
industry has been quite natural. CNI 2008 will have .. Exhibitors from the city
showcasing their products to the world."

CNI 2008 will witness the unveiling of the latest technical know how in the industry
during its three day tenure. New technologies, innovations will be displayed to
world for to adopt. This year's exhibition will focus on a completely new and useful
technology Surface Mount Technology. SMT Is a method for constructing electronic
circuits in which the components (SMC or Surface Mounted Components) are mounted
directly onto the surface of printed circuit boards (PCBs). In the industry it has
largely replaced the through-hole technology construction method of fitting
components with wire leads into holes in the circuit board. A host of new products
will be launched during the event by both national and international exhibitors.

The renaissance of the Indian components industry including for automobiles, took
place in the early 1990's and since then the industry has grown manifolds. In the
past couple of years the electronic industry is growing at a brisk pace. It is
currently worth $10 Billion but according to estimates, has the potential to reach $
40 billion by 2010. The largest segment is the consumer electronics segment. The
electronic industry in India constitutes just 0.7 % of the global electronic
industry. However the demand in the Indian market is growing rapidly and investments
are flowing in to augment manufacturing capacity. India however remains a major
importer of electronic materials, components and finished equipment amounting to
over US$12 Billion in 2005.

About Reed Exhibitions: Reed Exhibitions is committed to develop and grow its India
operations and the exhibitions market is making heavy investments for the same. Reed
Exhibitions has announced an investment of USD 50 million in the next 3 years; the
investments will be in launches and acquisitions, manpower-build a strong India
team, and offices in various cities to be closer to the customer. Reed Exhibitions
is also extending support to major developers for quality venue development in
India.
